Selena Gomez extended a very public olive branch to her kidney donor and close friend Francia Raisa after Francia Raisa dismissed speculation in November that the two stars were no longer on good terms.
Gomez posted on Instagram wishing Raisa a happy birthday and openly addressed their relationship on Instagram. “Happy birthday to this special man. Wherever life takes us, I love you,” she captioned it. He also posted a picture of the two together.
Their fans noticed that Raisa liked the Instagram post and followed Gomez on Instagram. Raisa unfollowed Gomez on Instagram in November after Gomez spoke about Taylor Swift’s Rolling Stone.

Fans believe Gomez was referring to the music industry and not specifically talking about Raisa, who is an actress. Gomez made a post on Instagram about the quote and Raisa commented “interesting” and then deleted it again.
Gomez’s Instagram caption was “I never fit in with a cool group of celebrity girls. My only friend in the industry is Taylor Swift, so I feel like I don’t belong.”
She also said I “felt the presence of everyone around me living life to the fullest. I was in this position. I was really happy but I…. What?
Gomez then appeared to comment on the ticker not following Raisa and the backlash. She wrote, “Sorry I didn’t mention everyone I know here”.
Raisa donated one of her kidneys to Gomez in 2017 after Gomez lost one of her kidneys due to lupus. Gomez spoke about her dilemma on a show that October when Raisa was asked to test if she was a match for my kidney.
Gomez said at the moment they were with me all the time when I had just had my kidney transplanted. She added “I never wanted to ask a single person in my life, never even thought of asking anyone to do this. The last one volunteered and donated to me willingly.”
