Timothée Chalamet sings Willy Wonka’s Pure Imagination at the opening of Saturday Night Live

Timothée Chalamet was busy promoting his next film, Wonka, so he added a twist of pure imagination to Saturday’s SNL premiere.

According to a report from the Hollywood Reporter, Timothée Chalamet performed a remix version of Pure Imagination, an iconic song from 1971’s The Daily and The Chocolate Factory.

Timothée Chalamet will now be able to talk about his upcoming projects, which include his Wonka and Dune 2.

“Up until two days ago and I know that’s what we all thought actors couldn’t talk about their movies,” Timothée Chalamet said before the opening.

The only thing I was allowed to talk about was that I had an ad coming out. It’s directed by Martin Scorsese and reminds me of a perfume ad. Everyone goes back to this magical world where the actors can talk about their projects again.

In addition to performing on the show, Timothée Chalamet joined SNL cast member Marachal Hernandez in rapping a number called “I got a baby face” and received much love from the audience.
